Every time you use a ride share app or have food delivered, you are hiring a human. But a slice of the
money goes off-shore to the owner of the app. Why not keep that money in the community and pay each other
to do this stuff?
Hard work is unpleasant and so we have harnessed the power of machines to do it for us. That means we live in great luxury, but a lot of us don’t have much meaningful work to do. Because the wealth is not shared very evenly, some of us can get other people to do the jobs that we don’t want to do ourselves. That’s nice for the
people with money, but pretty revolting for the rest of us.
